94. Wyspy Kanaryjskie

Pomimo brzydkiej pogody i niskiej temperatury za oknem, pozdrawiam wszystkich ciepło kartką z Wysp Kanaryjskich :)

Despite an ugly weather and the low temperature outside, I warmly greet everyone with the card from the Canary Islands :)

93. Pakistan

Dzisiaj będzie post trochę z wylewaniem żalu.
Ta kartka sprawiła mi ogromny zawód z trzech powodów. Po pierwsze jest z Pakistanu, kraju, z którego być może już nigdy nie dostanę kartki. O wiele bardziej wolałabym dostać jakiś pospolity widoczek z napisem "Pakistan", zamiast ultra czerwonego obrazu o niewiadomym znaczeniu. Po drugie, nadawca w swojej galerii wysłanych ma kartki wprost bajeczne - wspaniałe widoki na góry, miasta i inne krajobrazy, wszystkie z rzucającym się w oczy napisem "Pakistan". Po obejrzeniu jej przez dłuższy czas czułam ukłucie żalu. Po trzecie - na kartce nie było ani słowa napisanego przez nadawcę. Tylko przybita pieczątka z adresem (liczył na TYC??), dzięki czemu dowiedziałam się przynajmniej, jak ma na imię.
Nie wymagam od nadawców nie wiadomo czego. Zakres moich preferencji jest spory, każdy ma w swoich zbiorach wiele kartek, które by się w nie wpasowały. Nie obrażam się też za pocztówki, które nie do końca pasują do moich preferencji, ale widać że nadawca się starał, napisał miłą wiadomość, więc kartka mimo wszystko ma wtedy dla mnie ogromną wartość. Jednak po otrzymaniu tej poczułam się, jakby nadawca od niechcenia wysłał mi tą kartkę i żebym cieszyła się, że w statystykach postcrossingowych będę miała Pakistan w otrzymanych.
Jak myślicie, przesadzam? Czy mój zawód może jest uzasadniony?  

Today will be a complaining post.
This card made me really disappointed because of three reasons. Firstly, it's from Pakistan, the country where I might never receive a card again. Far more I'd like to receive a commonplace view with the "Pakistan" inscription instead of ultra red painting of the unknown meaning. Secondly, the sender has in his gallery amazing cards - beautiful views for mountains, cities and other landscapes, every with eye-catching inscriptions "Pakistan". After watching that I felt disappointed for a while. Thirdly, there wasn't a single word written by the sender. Just a stamp with his address (was he counting for TYC??), that's why I at least knew his name.
I don't expect some big things from senders. Range of my preferations is wide, everyone has many cards fitting in them. I'm not also mad for cards not exactly prefered, but when I can see that the sender was trying, wrote a nice message, the card has a big value for me then. But after receiving this card I felt like the sender reluctantly sent me this card and I should have been happy that in PC stats I'll have Pakistan in my received.
How do you think, am I exaggerating? Or maybe my disappointment is justified?

92. Tajwan

Kartka z serii wydanej w Tajwanie, która w zabawnych obrazkach przedstawia rzeczy, z ktorych znany jest dany kraj. Mi akurat trafiła się Australia, a wraz z nią kangur, owca, Wielka Rafa Koralowa, koala, opera w Sydney i Harbour Bridge. W pełni zgadzam się z wyborem autora, sama australijska esencja :)

Postcard from a published in Taiwan set, showing things, that the country is famous for, in funny pictures. I got Australia and a kangaroo, a ship, the Great Barrier Reef, a koala, the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. I totally agree with the author's choice, just the Australian essence :)

91. Irlandia

Kartka otrzymana jako niespodzianka od Sylwii :*

Armagh jest uważane za duchową stolicę Irlandii, ponieważ święty Patryk w V wieku założył w mieście Armagh swój pierwszy kościół. Nazywane jest też "Hrabstwem Sadów" ze względu na żyzne ziemie, idealne do uprawiania jabłek. 

Armagh is consdered as ecclesiastical capital of Ireland, because of the church established in the city of Armagh in the 5th century by Saint Patrick. It's also called the "Orchard County" because of the land fertile for apple-growing.

 

90. Portugalia

Nareszcie dostałam oficjalną kartkę z Portugalii!

Rejon Algarve jest najbardziej wysuniętym na południe regionem Portugalii. Na zachodzie kończy się Przylądkiem Świętego Wincenta, który jest najbardziej wysuniętym na południowy zachód punktem Portugalii. W starożytności był nazywany przez Rzymian Promontorium Sacrum (Świętym Przylądkiem), ponieważ było to ostatnie miejsce, skąd widać było zachodzące słońce (lub, jak sądzili, słońce zanurzające się w oceanie, za krawędzią świata). 
Region Algarve słynie z klifowej linii brzegowej (widocznej na drugim zdjęciu u dołu pocztówki) oraz czystych i pięknych plaż, na przykład Praia de Marinha w Lagoa.

The Algarve region is the most southerly region of Portugal. On the west it ends with the Cape St. Vincent which is the southwesternmost point of Portugal. In the ancient times it was called by Romans Promontorium Sacrum (Holy Promontory), because that was the last place where they could see the sunset (or, as they thought, the sun sinking in the ocean, over the range of the world). 
The Algrave region is famous for the cliff coast (which you can see on the second picture in the bottom of the card) and clean and beautiful beaches, like Praia de Marinha in Lagoa.

89. Czechy

Wszyscy kochają Krecika :) Nie będę pisać więcej, bo nudy o tym, kto stworzył, kto narysował, okraszone wieloma zbędnymi datami tylko zepsują urok tej kartki.


Everyone loves Krtek :) I won't write anything more because boring things about the maker, the cartoonist with many useless dates will only destroy the charm of this postcard.

 

88. Oman

Oman to kraj o bogatej kulturze. Na pustyni Wahiba Sands można spotkać wioski Beduinów, którzy są bardzo gościnni i chętnie zapraszają turystów do swoich namiotów. Beduini różnią się od typowych mieszkańców Omanu zwłaszcza ubiorem - mężczyźni noszą charakterystyczne czapeczki, a kobiety zasłaniają twarz maskami, nazywanymi burqa. Omanki noszą hidżab, zasłanianie twarzy nie jest obowiązkowe, a w urzędach nawet zabronione przez Sułtana.
Oman jest także jedynym krajem, w którym rosną drzewa kadzidłowe, dlatego warto się w nie zaopatrzyć podczas podróży do tego egzotycznego miejsca.Charakterystyczne są też omańskie sztylety, khanjar, które znajdują się w godle, fladze, a także na poniższych znaczkach. Mężczyźni noszą bogato zdobione khanjar, które symbolizują pochodzenie, męskość i odwagę, na specjalne okazje.

Oman is a country of a very rich culture. On the Wahiba Sands desert we can meet the villages of Bedouins who are very hospitable and willingly invite tourists to their tents.There are some differences between the Bedouins and typical Omanis, especially in clothes - men wear characteristic caps and women cover their faces with masks called burqa. Omani women wear hidjab, covering faces is optional and in public offices is even forbidden by the Sultan.
Oman is also the only country where the incense trees grow so it's worth buying the incense during the trip to this exotic place. Also khanjars, the Omani daggers, are characteristic and they're places in the emblem, flag and also the stamps below. Men wear richly decorated khanjars, which symbolize the origin, manhood and courage, for special occasions.

 

87. USA

Tennessee to stan o wydłużonym kształcie, graniczący z Kentucky i Wirginią na północy, Karoliną Północną na wschodzie, Georgią, Alabamą i Missisipi na południu oraz Arkansas i Missouri na zachodzie. Bardzo zróżnicowany geograficznie - na wschodzie górzysta ze względu na Appalachy, w środku znajduje się dolina Tennessee, a na zachodzie wyżyna Cumberland i dolina Missisipi. 

Dewiza to "Rolnictwo i handel", a przydomek - "Stan ochotników", który upamiętnia udział mieszkańców tego stanu w wojnie w 1812 roku). Jednym z jego symboli jest Jack Daniel's.
Stolicą Tennessee jest Nashville. 
Tennessee jest kolebką wielu gatunków muzyki, w szczególności rock'n'rolla, bluesa i country. W Memphis powstało studio nagraniowe Sun Records, gdzie karierę zaczynały takie legendy jak Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, czy Jerry Lee Lewis.

Geographically very differential - mountainous east because of the Appalachian Mountains, the Tennessee Valley in the middle and the western Cumberland Plateau and Missisipi Valley.
The motto is: "Agriculture and commerce", and the nickname is "The Volunteer State" which commemorates residents of this state in the 1812 war). One of its symbols is Jack Daniel's.
Capital of Teneessee is Nashville.
Tennessee is home for many music genders, especially rock'n'roll, blues and country. Memphis is also home to the Sun Records where legends like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis began their recording careers.
