89. Czechy

Everyone loves Krtek :) I won't write anything more because boring things about the maker, the cartoonist with many useless dates will only destroy the charm of this postcard.

88. Oman

Oman to kraj o bogatej kulturze.

Oman is a country of a very rich culture. On the Wahiba Sands desert we can meet the villages of Bedouins who are very hospitable and willingly invite tourists to their tents. There are some differences between the Bedouins and typical Omanis, especially in clothes - men wear characteristic caps and women cover their faces with masks called burqa. Omani women wear hidjab, covering faces is optional and in public offices is even forbidden by the Sultan.
Oman is also the only country where the incense trees grow so it's worth buying the incense during the trip to this exotic place. Also khanjars, the Omani daggers, are characteristic and they're places in the emblem, flag and also the stamps below. Men wear richly decorated khanjars, which symbolize the origin, manhood and courage, for special occasions.

86. Bahrajn

Prawo w kraju stanowi szar'at, czyli islamskie prawo religijne.

Bahrain is an island country on the waters of the Persian gulf, between Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Since 2002 it's a constitutional monarchy, headed by the King, Shaikh Hamad ibn Isa al-Chalifa.
The law in this country is constituted by Sharia, islamic religious law. Women are obligated to hide most of the body, including face. The religious standards apply also the foreigners, even if they are a different religion.
The postcard shows the Al Khamis Mosque, believed to be the first mosque of Bahrain. Its foundation is estimated for 7th century, although many things suggest that it was built in 11th century.

85. Finlandia

Revontulet - the Finnish name for the Northern Lights which is connected to the legend about the arctic fox that spreads on the sky sparkling particles with its tail, which are creating curtains.
I wrote more about the Northern Lights in THIS post.
